How to Start with the OpenOpcUaCoreServer ?
On Windows

1.       Download and install the Local Discovery Server (LDS) http://www.opcfoundation.org/DownloadFile.aspx?CM=3&RI=885&CN=KEY&CI=286&CU=4
The LDS is optional to setup an OPC UA platform.

2.       Download the binary for the server from the OpenOpcUa website http://www.openopcua.org/download/Files/Win32-OpenOpcUa.Simulation.zip

3.       Expand the file Win32-OpenOpcUa.Simulation.zip  into a local folder

4.       Start a command shell with administrative right in the folder where you copied the server files

5.       Run OpenOpcUaCoreServer_Release.exe .\ConfigOpenOpcUa.xml

6.       Now you can connect with your UA client using the following URL :
opc.tcp://localhost:16664/4CEUAServer

7.    Enjoy it !!!


On Linux

There are no discovery server available for Linux today.

1.        Download the binary for the server from the OpenOpcUa website http://www.openopcua.org/download/Files/Debianx86-OpenOpcUa.Simulation.zip

2.        Expand the file Debianx86-OpenOpcUa.Simulation.zip  into a local folder

3.        Start a shell in the folder where you copied the server files

4.      run the following command :
./OpenOpcUaCoreServer ./ConfigOpenOpcUa.xml
Note : OpenOpcCOreServer depends on 3 dynamic libraries that the server need to retrieve in its path.

5.        Now you can connect with your UA client using the following URL :
opc.tcp://localhost:16664/4CEUAServer

6.        Enjoy it !!!
